Inquiring minds want to know. It's a tough call but I really wouldn't want a Aggie retread that could only put 7 points on one of our worse defenses and only 10 with Manziel.

You would have to take Spavital, because Ens is already on staff.

Spivital. We need change. Desperately. We need a new culture on offense. I would rather roll the dice with spivital.

If Ensminger had something meaningful to offer to the offense why wouldn’t he have spoken up all this time he has been here?

Neither would I.
But your criterion disqualifies both candidates.
Ensminger was OC at A&M.

Well to play devils advocate here the rumor is that Ensminger and Cameron were always in each others faces over how the offense was run.

No idea if thats true and I still don't want Ensminger as OC but.....

No! The master mind behind that offense was Kingsburry and he left. Spavital is very overrated.

I would pay Kingsburry the same as Aranda. Kingsburry is one year away from the boot.

But we someone now. I don't want either, but Spavs was terrible at aTm. I really hope we aren't to the point of saying which is less terrible.

Kingsbury isn’t going to leave his HC job (at his alma mater) for a collegiate OC gig.

Yes but only because Spav believes the best forward pass is a Bubble screens, that doesn't work against big SEC corners. Also he believes either scoring in 3 plays or going 3 and out, that is not a good formula for our 2.5 a year DC. This would be an amazingly awful hire.

I think everyone here love Ensminger. He is a great TE coach and brings a ton of organizational knowledge and supplemental OC knowledge. However, his course of OC has run, he hasn't been dedicated in that position in 20 years. Would be a terrible hire.

Spavital. At least he isn’t stuck in the 90’s like Ensminger, O, and Sullivan will be
