9-3 in 2019?

If not for the historic season can you imagine the howling for him being fired.

I think he’d still be here (assuming the pandemic still happens in this scenario) but on a very very short 2015 Miles type leash

Depends on how bad his losses looked at 9-3.

At 8-4, he was fired.

I think he'd be gone because after 9-3 we wouldn't have given him raise and extension and Woodward could've cheaply fired him.

LSU’s 2020 season would not have been as bad if they go 9-3 in 2019. The mass exodus doesn’t happen.

Easy to think Clyde, Jets, Cush, Chase, Queen, and Phillips are playing for LSU in 2020 had they not went to the playoffs. Aranda may not get the Baylor job and Joe Brady definitely doesn’t leave for the Carolina OC job.

Would Nick Saban have survived this long at Alabama had he gone let's say 9-3 his fist 3 or 4 years there?

What is the point in a question like this?

Some of you people just spend your days daydreaming about firing the best head football coach LSU has has in many years.

Probably not, only because his buyout would've been very minimal. He got the big contract after the 19 season. Had he not had that season, he's likely still on his original deal.

I just don’t understand stuff like this. He didn’t go 9-3. He went fricking 15-0 and had the best team in the history of college football.

2019 happened though. I'm not even a fan of O, but considering everything he faced with the pandemic, turnover of staff and players, off the field garbage...etc, he deserves a chance to redeem himself. Regardless of how people perceive how that incredible 2019 season took place, he was the head coach. Next year I'm expecting nothing short of a 10+ win season. If he bombs agains, so be it. Fire his arse. But I don't expect that to happen. I feel great about next years Tigers.

If LSU lost 3 games in 2019 then had this 2020 season, I think it’s very possible he would be gone. This year was really bad, hopefully once in a generation bad. Les Miles went to two national championships in 10 years and losing 3 games wasn’t good enough for him either.
