Isn’t Heupel the playcaller?

Hey, you guys still want Heupel?

To be honest I think Heupel would almost rather coach Texas just to beat OUs arse to rub it in Bob Stoops face and the university. Heupel does not have very good things to say about his Alma Mater. So idk if he would take that job

Why would you want him?

With the season on the line he runs a play to a freshman te with 3 catches on the year. It bounces off the kids face mask. Season over. Plus they’ve never beaten a top dog school in a big game under him. They can keep him.

Heupel's best Wins at Tenn
2022 Alabama (11-2 Bryce Young)
2022 Clemson (11-3)
2022 LSU (10-4 SECW Champs)
2024 Alabma (9-4)
2021 Kentucky (10-3 Will Levis)
2022 Pitt (9-4)
2023 Iowa (10-3)

When you have to put Kentucky, Pitt, and Iowa on a list of “big wins” you make my point for me.
Bama 2022 you mean the bama LSU beat while starting the year with 39 scholarship players. That bama.
So I say again. He’s never won the big game.

They also put up like 13 points in a loss at Fayetteville last year to a very mediocre to bad Ark team.

This is an easy, and meaningless exercise to do.
Kiffin put up 17pts in a loss to a 4-8 Kentucky at home last year.
And another 17pts to Florida in a loss.
so what.

You will never make every fan happy. Someone will come on here and dislike them.Just because they drink pepsi and not coke.

Why would anyone want this slob to represent the university?

Huepel ain't leaving. AD Danny White will whip out the checkbook to keep him around.
Honestly don't understand the heat he's getting. He rescued the Vol program from ashes and turned us around overnight... in 2021, there were questions before the season on if they could legitimately field a team due to scholly and roster restrictions.

No. Tenn will just match what we throw at him.

Would Heupel leave Tenn for the LSU job?
He's still under 50, only been a head coach since 2018, only at UCF and Tennessee (2021).
He fixed Tennessee, maybe he'd want to rebuild LSU too. Short of winning a natty, that would be a huge thing to have on the resume. That would put him in conversations for every big open position until he retires, which means raises every year.
