My dream pick since the A&M game last year was Jimbo. He is proven in every area. He can recruit, develope the QB position, and sustain success. What have been the negatives at FSU? Competition with other schools for in-state recruiting(Florida, Miami, UCF, USF, Florida Atlantic, and other SEC schools including Urban Meyer-Ohio State) and the lack of pay for assistants. Given the ability to hire big time coaches and lock up recruiting in LA, he would thrive in LA. This is why I believe he is the best choice.

Now to beat Alabama, I would take Herman all day. BAMA has troubles defending a spread option team. Given how Ohio State ran all over BAMA in 2014 under Herman's control, he would be the guy to do so. But LSU fans want sustained success. Will he be able to do it? Thoughts?

Yes I believe he has the makings of sustaining success, especially with elite talent.

Either coach

What? You mean sustaining mediocrity losing 3-5 games a year. Sure

No need to be rude, just answer the question and move on. If you don't like it, don't comment.

It's an obvious answer.

Does it matter if jimbo does everything perfect but still loses to bama? Why sustain that?

I'm sure you are referring to Jimbo.
Why does he lose those games? Tell me, when he won the NC where was Florida and Miami? And who were his assistants? FSU does not pay for assistants and what 5 star really wants to play in the ACC... and he hasn't lost 5 games in his entire head coaching career. Took him only 3 years to reach the nation title. He has put Christian ponder, EJ Manuel, and Winston in the pros and they went 1st round. Given all the intangibles LSU has, your observation is wrong due to the absence of any football knowledge.

Sustained success? Like 12-11 the last 4 years against the West?
