Would Coach Cooper be a good DC?

Is he ready to move up? With the rumor noise on Chavis I thought this would be a valid question?

this is definitely the place to try out position coaches as DC

Offensively, we can get away with a position coach. We had the worst offense in the SEC and still managed a 9-3 record. Defensively, hell no. We need an established, proven DC.

The answer is no. Cooper is over rated. U.S.C.E was not dissappointed in him leaving. He takes a lot of risk in recruiting. some have panned out, some have failed. He's a me guy and not a we guy. always looking out for #1, himself. He's failed when he's been at the top, see louisville.

That being said, I'd like someone a little more proven and I doubt Miles makes the choice to promote a position coach to Defensive Coordinator so soon after the last debacle.

yep, that's it. i just can't wait to say negative things about cooper. it's what i live for.
I bet you'll find very little negative comments in my history, particularly on the coaches. Therefore, why would i be negative on this one issue?

I got no problem with your opinion doc. I just wanted to let the guy who asked the question to know that you don't like Cooper, but it's not an opinion shared by the majority of people on TD.

the answer to the originally stated question is no...is coach cooper overrated? absolutely not. look hows hes turned around our secondary in one year. i dont care what you say, thats damn good coaching.

Nothing about this post is true. He is far from overrated; he's the best coach on this staff. Also, I don't have any idea what USCe fans you talked to because I live in South Carolina and they were all pissed to see him leave. He's put guys into the NFL that had no business being there. We're gonna start seeing the kind of DB play at LSU that we had when Saban was here.
