Worst Fire or biggest dumb arse move ....Bower?

Firing Jeff Bower at USM is my pick so far. I am sure that quality coaches will be beating down the door for that big 2.50 a year in play in front of 110,000....wait I am sorry its 250 a year and 11,000.....Dumb asses

I agree on Bower. I was also a little surprised with the Gailey firing, 44-32 is not bad. I think it came down to one loss - if they had gone 8-4 this year, instead of 7-5, he might have gotten another year. GT did win 9 games in 2006, and he's never led them to a losing season there, but the Bower "resignation" (who gets bought out in a resignation) is really surprising (after being there 17 years and all - 14 straight winning seasons).

You have no idea. The GT faithful have been PRAYING he gets fired.

-Can't develop a QB
-Bowl game every year as coach...but who doesn't go to a bowl anymore. They are sick of playing bowl games on blue turf.
-Always good for 1 or 2 upsets both ways. Beat Auburn and lose to Duke or something along those lines.
-He was a 7-8 win coach. It was time to move on. That 9 win season was overrated b/c he lost his final 3 or 4 games. I think they started 9-2 and finished 9-5.
He is what he is.

They were on their third team qauterback who got hurt in race game so they had to go back to injured 2nd teamer and he threw three picks. People were joking saying taht they were going have to go to intermurals to get a QB.
Don't think it matters look at Oregon.
They were in Championship game last year.
He bleed for them, they paid him nothing, his kids were there. he hires good assistants that leave for more money in two to three yaers, Make more than him, no scandels, graduatation raters very high, has winning season every year, longer than LSU's streak. best you will get at that job for more than 4 years. Now it is a stepping stone....They will get a few good coaches and they will leave...They will never had another ten year winning steak...ever.

LSU has been a stepping stone for the last 2 coaches and it's worked pretty well for us.
