Word on the streets about new OC...

I heard last night from a friend that supposedly has the inside scoop. The new OC is supposed to be a big name and will get a co-head coach sort of position. If he's lying then
. We'll see if the associate head coach thing comes to pass. It was described to me as one of those positions like Jimbo has at fla state where he can take over the reins if Miles gets canned. We'll see...

It worked well for FSU, why not!

That's what I would figure it would be. I think if we can bring it a top-notch OC (and supporting coaching staff) then we're set for awhile.

Well, that concept has been a disaster so far. Three ring circus in Tallahassee and Joker Phillips is already on the hot seat at UK with his offense and hasn't taken over the reigns from Pappy Brooks yet.

Like I said if he's lying to me
. I do like the thought of a young buck in the wings familiar with the program that can establish a recruiting base and can take over if he proves himself on the field. If not, then can him too.

For the record, last night on ESPN Herbie said Stoops or Meyer are NOT going to go be the coach at ND. Would only add to Chris Fowler's ability to make fun of him if Stoops ended up in South Bend.

Has the coach in waiting worked for anyone besides Texas yet?
Dallas Cowboys - Fail
FSU - Fail
Maybe VT with Beamer and Bud Foster?
