Woodward Will Not Lose Dave Aranda to USC.

If Scott puts the full-court press on Aranda, the bald one will be our Head Coach. Woodward will not lose a bidding war or a persuasion war to the Trojans. Sure, Southern Cal is Dave’s home, but I think Dave would not commit to USC until he got an answer one way or the other from LSU.
I don’t implicitly trust any “insider” on this board. I think it’s just an attention-whore contest. I do think TBL has the most credibility.
But for the sake of argument, let’s say these guys are right and Aranda is the plan b candidate. I trust Woody is street smart enough not to be caught with his dick in his hand. Woodward will know if and when he needs to break it off with his top choices and start wooing Aranda and making him an offer.
The floor is Aranda. (Yes, Napier could crush his interview, but that’s beside the point.)
There is no chance Woodward is stuck with Mark Stoops. He will know the right moment to go hard after Aranda if the timing doesn’t work on his top choice(s).
Aranda is our floor. Scott is not losing him to Southern Cal and even though it’s his home, I believe even with an offer in hand from the Trojans, that Dave, his wife, and their kids, would leap at the chance to return to Baton Rouge with him as head coach of the Tigers.

You are right. But that would require him to want Aranda. All signs now that he doesn't. Now that may be smoke. But Aranda may want USC because we don't want him.

I agree and I think it is Aranda

Woody doesn’t currently want Aranda

Or it could be that Aranda doesn't want to come back here...

Aranda's agent is pushing this out there so it puts pressure on LSU to hire him because this is where he wants to be. They're not getting Riley so it's down to the lower tier list. Aranda would be a damn good consolation prize. Since it appears Riley is playing games I hope we get Aranda now.

Aranda should be the first offer. Dude is brilliant, I can see him being an icon in college football when he hangs up the whistle.

I’ll take Aranda all day. We are not getting Riley or Fisher unless we offer crazy money

Too late
I'm still not sure SW has even extended an offer. USC is now talking terms on a contract
