There's always a chance that both Random and DALSU are involved with the smoke, to be fair.

Random talked a big game, seemed to match what LSUTigers9458 has said.
Then suddenly DALSU pops in with heavy Herman talk, and Random has now joined in on that side. And now Herman seems premature at least, or leveraging Texas at worst. Nobody is touting Jimbo anymore, not after the word of the counter offer.

I guess it's possible that "sources" have told their buddies to get with the program and spread confusion, or else sit in the cheap seats like the rest of us

I do go back to my original line of thinking- you don't do the Miles firing the way it went down, without at least a strong shot at someone to make it worthwhile. Jimbo seems like the guy they laid the groundwork on from last year, and it definitely seemed like Alleva and/or Alexander checked something, then moved quick to can Miles when they did. Herman would be a nice choice, but I don't see how you feel that comfortable in him in week 4.

Jimbo was here during the most impressive stretch of current LSU football, he saw how Saban built, how Miles expanded. He then went and demonstrated that he could handle a job this big, when he took Florida St and restored them.

Sure he wants a healthy raise; but like the Florida St guys point out, it's not like he's at a mid-major now, he's at a marquee spot. If you're going to ask him to leave there, you have to make it worth his while.

Been saying this today as well. Jimbo is in play until it is announced by FSU that it is working on a new agreement with him. Until that announcement is made, he's still in play.

That's how these play out. If he was driving the price up on FSU, they will immediately announce the new agreement is in the works.

First of all, thanks for posting and holding firm on your info. I do appreciate it. I think most do actually.

I will say, and please don't take this the wrong way but, I don't know what to believe.

There is so much stuff out there. So much "sourced" info. ESPN, the pay sites LSU's, UT's, FSU's. USA Today even.

Could you, without divulging anything or outing any source, give us a time frame of your most recent info.

It seems that things may have changed since Mon or Tues.

Is it fair to ask you if your info is still timely.

My point is everything you have posted could be 100% accurate as of Midnight last night.

But things can and do change.

If it's not fair to ask please disregard my question.

Thanks.

My thread got deleted for telling everyone on 11/22/2016 from 2 sources inside the war room on the coaching search and 1 prominent figure at another SEC school who has extremely tight ties with Fisher and Pruitt, that there would be misinformation and out right lies spread by the media and internet for every candidate and the reason for that from LSU is they did not want ESPN to publicly bash them like they did last year and as you saw at halftime tonight. ESPN and the national media have their agenda for Alabama and although that sounds like tinfoil, it's what has been heavily discussed as reason for intentionally throwing the media local and national off as to not interfere with our next coach.

Additionally, on 11/21/2016, I shared the contract deals for Jimbo Fisher, it is 6.75 million a year with incentives to 7.5 million, a housing stipend and that Grimes, BDP, Moffitt and Ensminger were out. Raymond, Aranda (if Aranda bolts then Fisher will go after Pruitt but the Pruitt rumors of us refusing him are completely false), Craig and O are good. I do not know for sure about the rest. The press conference to announce Jimbo will either be Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

Again, there is no solid evidence nor source that he has turned us down and is staying in Tallahassee so don't believe everything you hear.

Final time I reiterate it, this is a done deal, weed through the smokescreens and stay patient, there is mass confusion going around for a reason...

I don't think we will know anything else until the smoke clears. Herman isn't signing today with anyone, unless it's the New England Patriots. As it stands, he's at least garnered a big raise from Houston, and maybe gives them a 2nd shot at the Big 12.

Jimbo isn't signing with us formally until after his game either, and he probably wouldn't willingly squash his candidacy until Fla St cranks up his salary and control a lot. Allowing his name to fall out before we make our hire seems like it would undercut his leverage there.
His team got scorched a couple of times on defense, a year after he lost his defensive coordinator to Alabama. If he stays, he's got to want the ability to plug that hole, or else he's in for more of the same in the future. I'd say right now, his position with them is "I want you to pay the same for assistants that LSU does". I don't think he's gotten that yet.

9458, I'm with you to the bitter end on this. My personal belief is, it's been him all along. I got to believe he truly wants to be here.

It's the truth, out of all three of them saying they have inside information, he is the only one to have never wavered, while DA and Random wavered between Fisher and Herman every other posts. Obviously DA and Random are getting their chains jerked, but they are not intelligent enough to figure it out. Meanwhile, I have followed all of their posts and LSUtigers9458 is the only one who has never wavered.

Moreover, it makes a lot of sense to start a firestorm via ESPN to distract attention off of Fisher.

I also think the report for 6.5 for 10 years by ESPN is BS. So we told the man we would do 7 million for 5 or 6 years but the deal fell through because he wanted 10 years. That doesn't make any sense. So the money was right but the years didn't match up? Boloni. Sounds like there's a deal there to be made to me.

If I remember correctly, it was Random that said there was a counter offer and no one else. I think both Random and DA are getting their chains jerked around by the same people, but they don't realize it. Hence, they are inadvertently spreading erroneous info. We'll soon enough find out who was accurate.

Anyway, the reason why everyone jumped off of LSUtigers9458's bandwagon and onto Random and DA's bandwagon is because they want a spread offense so badly they can taste it, which is why they are willing for LSU to pay an unproven head coach as much as a top five head coach in the country, but nonetheless Herman may turn out to be next Charlie Strong.

Yeah I read that nonsense too, but it was obviously bogus. So I automatically discounted it as false information as soon as I read it.

Well LSUtigers9458 did warn from his first post onward that there would be a firestorm of bogus information meant to distract and deceive that would come out, and that's exactly what has happened. Meanwhile, Random or DA never mentioned anything like that and that to me makes LSUtigers9458 more credible relative to the other two.

Well the reason you are being crucified is because those doing the crucifying want a spread offense so bad they can taste it. Thus, since you are saying nothing has changed and Jimbo as opposed to Herman is still the man, you are being crucified by those Herman supporters who want a spread offense so badly that they are willing to take a mega chance on an unproven head coach who may or may not turn out to be the next Charlie Strong for all we know.

i just don't understand why people think he's a done deal. Herman is going to wait to hear all possibilities. Random is full of shite, i don't know how many times i have to say this.

But all i know is LSU better try their best to get herman wrapped up before texas comes calling. cause then the money is going to go over 6.5 a year.

How did LSU manage to convince HornsDigest and/or Herman's agent to leak a story and create a smokescreen for LSU-Jimbo? Alleva is a genius.

Herman gave UT a 48hr timeline to make up there mind and make an offer. They didn't do it... LSU made the offer and all of the sudden T-Sipps think they have their big dick again and can spend thier way out of this.
