Why would Baylor pick Aranda over Blake Anderson?

Anderson is HC at Arkansas St and has done a great job there, considering it’s a hell hole. He handled this year amazingly considering what he went through personally

Going 8-5 every year just doesn't scream great job to me. Arkansas State fans aren't even enamored with him. Malzahn and Freeze were both only there for one year but they won 9 and 10 games.
He's decent I guess but can't see what he's done to deserve a P5 job.

If you're at a G5 school you need to be pulling in double-digit win seasons regularly to be considered for a good P5 job.

Aranda was their 3rd option they were turned down by Napier and Fuente
