Well, if you can't transform the team into a natty caliper team in a year and a half, hell, you are going to get fired! What do you expect, the fan base to wait forever or something? Give me a damn break.

Chad Morris does not have a single P5 win in 5 years as a head coach. There is no sensible argument for him being retained after this season was over.

There is a better argument that Bert should have been given more time than Morris. I think both were rightfully fired but anyone saying Morris wasn't given enough time doesn't have a good understanding of the situation.

Blowout to North Texas.
Loss to Colorado St.
loss to San Jose State.
blowout loss to Western Kentucky.

If he were at any other SEC West school, he might have been fired earlier.

Morris is a candidate for one of the worst coaches in SEC history.

It’s criminal what he did to Arkansas.

Chad Morris is a nice guy, he was just way in over his head at Arkansas. And the program was already in bad enough shape.

Maybe it was the swine flu that effected the whole team including the coaches?

Lots of reasons but main one is he's a pussy.

Had 4th and inches against Colorado St and punted ended up losing in his 2nd or 3rd game at Arkansas. Reinforced that he was a fraud. #hammerdown

It's called The Peter Principle. Here's a brief excerpt from Wikipedia which explains this concept:
quote:

The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their "level of incompetence". In other words, an employee is promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.

And when we hired Chad Morris as our head coach in the SEC, this concept became reality.

Was he really that good at SMU?

No. I will never understand that hire. I think people were clinging to his time at Clemson.
