he's made the playoffs what 3 times now... didnt win the playoffs but LSU can get better players than OU. Dude wins 10 plus games every year.
We had Miles and O, why not get an established coach to coach a top 5 job??

If Riley and about 5 others fall through I guess LSU will have to go the discount route and grab Napier. If he's taken no biggie there's a bunch of "Napiers" out there tier 2 or 3

Because OU is also a top job and he’s already there. Pulling him was always a long shot.
I think LSU is a better job but if OU offers to pay up and Riley is already at OU why make the jump?
If he was at some random school, and LSU and OU both went after him I think it more likely he comes here.

If LSU and its fans are smart, you back up the Money Truck for ARANDA. Dave Aranda is by far the best choice to put LSU back on top. Guy is a home run hire.
