I don't see Miles going to Michigan. LSU has too much talent and the 2011 talent in LA. is sick its so good. Miles has spent the last 2 years grooming a QB and now he has one. Michigan has 2 RR duel threat guys who wouldn't cut it under Miles. If he goes to Michigan he lacks talent and has to start over at the QB position. sounds painful.

Harbaugh next year if RR doesn't improve big will be the next MI coach - not Les.

The thing with Michigan alumni is they get mad easily and they don't forget. I wouldn't say never, but I highly doubt Harbaugh would ever be asked to be head coach at Michigan. He's burnt basically every bridge between here and Palo Alto with this university, not only pissing off alumni and former players, but administration here too.
Would I mind? Probably not as long as we start winning again and are no longer the joke of the Big 10, but I would prefer Miles and I think if we timed it right he would come home. From what I have heard of last time, Miles was going to come, he was our first choice, but thanks to big mouth Kirk who jumped the gun, he put Miles in an awful position. You guys are a better conference than the Big 10, I won't deny that, but he's always made it known Michigan is his dream job. What better way to finish your career than to say you were called home to save the football program you once played for.

harbaugh is NOT going to michigan

i seriously doubt that he even wants to go, but UM, for sure, does not want him

I realize that. He's a great coach and he's done a tremendous job at Stanford, but I don't think anyone here wants him. Not unless he got on his knees, crawled across glass, and apologized profusely for what he said, which won't happen. I just never say never because when I do it always comes back to bite me in the arse.

i really don't think most LSU fans understand what Michigan football is

who you are and what you represent is the most important part of coaching the Wolverines

being a firey guy like Harbaugh is NOT a "Michigan man"

Rich Rod isn't one either, and i think that a guy like RR is exactly what your program needs, but it's obvious that if y'all fire him, you will NOT go down the same route. you're going to hire what UM football is supposed to be

Does Harbaugh want to coach in the NFL? That may make teams shy away from him if they feel like he wants to be in the league in a year or two.

I think the school realizes we need someone that is a good combination of both. Someone that is fiery and yet at the same time understands what Michigan is all about. RR is a good offensive coach, but it's clear he lacks an understanding of this program. And that defense wins it here in the Big 10, not running up the score. I'm interested to see how this all plays out after tomorrow.

your last elite team was a super powerful offensive unit that had a so-so D (OSU in 2006)

Regardless of that year, Defense is what the Big 10 has always been about. And right now, I don't even think our defense could beat a high school team.

i think rich rod is 1 good DC away from 8-9 wins

remember he's got a true freshman QB and the offense is humming

Everything points to our defense being more of the same next year. I really don't follow recruiting all that much, but what I have heard from others that do, we aren't pulling in many good guys that can solve the defensive problem, still focusing more on recruiting offense. Like I said I don't really know how true that is because I don't really follow it all that much.

Oh ok ...

I was just imagining Robinson as our DC. If that was the case, Miles' would surely be on his way out.

UM2007 is basically confirming everything that I said in my first post. IF Michigan gets rid of RR, they go after Miles and he is gone this time. Why would he stay with an ungrateful, spoiled fanbase who constantly complains about him when he could go home and resurrect Michigan football. I don't see him saying no. He is in his late 50's and the chance that he thought he lost would come around again. How could he refuse? Michigan wouldn't pass either.
