I may not have liked how the end result was (BK with a massive contract) but they definitely played that game well keeping it quiet.

If Dilly’s fam was flown in, I would agree Verge is playing. But, that hasn’t happened. It looks like Verge is being played, not playing.

How do you know that hasn’t happened? No one even knew we had spoken to BK until he was hired.
I mean seriously.
It’s been reported in the past that they have intentionally used different airports to prevent the tracking stuff.
There was a discussion on this board earlier in this iteration about how the flight tracker stuff has never really amounted to anything but now there is a highly publicized private jet flight from Oxford to BTR and back and didn’t even have dinner?
It just reeks of wanting to be found out on all sides.

Dilly has been so adamant about staying with his alma mater. It would really surprise me. But maybe. He’s my second choice for sure. Just please not Drink.

If the coach doesn’t want it to be public then he risks losing a client over it.
Trace Armstrong kept the Kelly stuff quiet.
If a coach truly likes their situation, values keeping recruiting ties they may want this as quiet as possible etc. IE Take for instance Dillingham. He is an ASU alumnus. Out of respect for the school perhaps he doesnt want a big public drawn out process purely to drive up his salary. Maybe he would only leave for the perfect situation etc etc. Thus he tells Sexton keep it quiet in case he wants to stay. Sexton would potentially lose his client leaking that.
Lane on the other hand LOVES the attention and is more than willing to play whatever games to keep his profile up and maximize any situation.

No coach is going to fly anywhere (at least not publicly) until the regular season is over I’m sure. The fact that Lane’s family is doing all of this is pretty surprising tbh and a slap to the face to Ole Miss.

I agree with you that the coach would not want it leaked…but if Verge was playing against Sexton…find a way to get it “leaked “ without it being obvious Verge leaked it.

My whole theory is they are all working together.
Verge doesn’t want any other name leaked just like any serious prospective coach not named Lane Kiffin doesnt want it leaked in mid November.
Verge is working with Sexton just like Woodward was working with Armstrong.
It all boils down to flying a known private jet of a booster for a flight from BTR to Oxford REEKS of everyone involved wanting be seen.
It’s the old Kansas City shuffle. They look left you go right.

My apologies. I’m obviously doing a poor job of explaining my thought process. I’m trying to say that Sexton is intentionally leaking information which will result in boosters paying more as they continue to outbid each other not wanting to lose. Why not play against Sexton and leak the fact you are seriously considering other options in parallel thus presenting the option he could lose?
