Why is it not a big warning sign when your hire doesn't even want the job?

I couldn't imagine offering a job to someone with no passion or enthusiasm to do the job in the first place. Much less one that will likely pay 7 figures...

Hungry? He’s going to retire soon no matter what fricking happens. How fricking stupid are the people in charge at LSU?

Ensminger is in a no win situation. Problem is he will go down with ship. I wonder if his continued employment was based on him taking the job?

He is ready to retire.. They will probably double his pay and guarantee it for 4 years since Alleva has zero negotiating skills.

Ensminger will flame out after 4-5 games. He was complaining about the long days last year during his short stint.

When we go 2-2 to start the season and he’s still staring down the barrel of a long season and O is placing the blame squarely in his lap, he will quickly give up on putting in the same level of effort as he did last year.

Haha, what other company could you refuse a promotion twice, still keep your current job and get offered a third time, finally say we’ll i guess so, and double your salary at least

My opinion: SE loves LSU too much to collect a paycheck and not do his job. I'm sure SE did not want a job that is so demanding of his time. SE admitted to sleeping in his office when he was interim OC.
Not many people would want a job that will require you to sleep in the office. The money will be nice, but SE doesn't need it.
The question is, "How long will SE agree to be OC?" He may tell O he can have OC after one year or he may enjoy it. I hope he enjoys being the OC. If he enjoys it, he will do his best.

For 1 million a year most 40 year olds will sleep in a office on a hemorrhoid in a monkeys arse.

At 60 years old you don't have that desire and our coach has even stated he doesn't have that desire. That is a problem
