Why is Gary Patterson not seeming to be on LSU's Radar?

I think he'd be a homerun hire. LSU talent and his coaching would be superior. I know TCU has deep pockets but LSU offers him a chance to step up to a "big boy" program. I mean, if Herman or Fisher fall through, why would Patterson not be the next phone call?

He is not leaving Fort Worth. He loves it there.

Patterson doesn't want to leave TCU. He's said it for years.

because he has had numerous offers to leave TCU and never did. He isn't leaving TCU.

We have a much better shot at trying to lure Peterson from the pacific northwest than Gary from TCU

I've always kind of figured that if he hasn't left TCU by now then he's not going to leave. I agree that he would be a good "fall back plan" if plans A and B fall through.

Patterson is not a good coach and is annonying as hell. He'd be a worse hire than Jimbo, and that's saying something.

I think LSU could be one of few type of programs that could entice a Patterson to leave TCU. I know he loves it there but Peterson also loved Boise. I mean the guy has done everything possible at TCU, there's nothing left there for him imo. If LSU makes a hard play, i think it'd be a least an interesting decision for him.

TCU is a private university and rumors are he has a lifetime contract with some oil royalties at TVU. He's never leaving.
