That maybe true if you measure by hired directly from the Saints to be a head coach. I’m not sure. But McCarthy went to San Francisco as OC before he went to Green Bay.

I also don’t think Carmichael is a guy that wants to be a HC. He strikes me as the type of guy to be perfectly ok with just being a part of the offense
