Zero reason to think this. Woodward gave O rope to do what he wanted last off-season and we saw how that turned out. He’s driving the bus on the process this time not O. And coach hiring has consistently been Scott’s strong suit as AD everywhere he’s been.

Not at all but you'd be a fool to think he doesn't have some approval on the hires.
With as quiet as the search has been high possibility the top of their assembled list is just not interested in LSU and they're going down the list figuring out who's the best fit. Looking at the OC names associated with LSU...it sure sounds like it.

I think that's obvious at this point. Same with the Pelini hire Woody was in that too but all the blame doesn't go solely on his shoulders. O is to blame on that hire too because he was definitely okay with it.

I think we need to temper our expectations about what the “short end of the stick” looks like. We’re a really good program with great talent that is going through some shite right now and BR is a shithole of a city (I’ve lived here my whole life, and it’s more of a shithole now than it was 30 years ago). So when a guy like Marcus Freeman wants to go somewhere like Cali and coach at USC instead of come to Baton Rouge idk how much of that you can put on O and Woodward. If an NFL guy doesn’t wanna come down to the college level and have to recruit then idk how much you wanna put that on O and Woodward. If a guy with talent who wants to be a HC soon wants to go be a coordinator for Saban and almost guarantee offers as a HC at a P5 within 3 years idk how much you put that on O and Woodward.
