He wanted to retire essentially. Had nothing to do with him being forced out.

He didn't want to coach anymore.

He said he needed to re-prioritize things. His work/life balance was out of whack.

Which doesn't really sound like he'd want to come into the pressure cooker that is LSU.

Same reason Stoops retired. They were just burnt out and at peace retiring.

Wasn't one of his kids sick with a rather rare disease?

HC at a major College Football Program has to be the most grueling job in sports. I can't imagine recruiting and coaching HS kids 24/7/

yes, which was a big factor in him moving his family moving his family to seattle.

there is a less than zero percent chance he comes to LSU. and even if he was a candidate, do we want a burned out coach trying to survive the SEC?

Pretty sure that’s the main reason why he never left Boise until UW hired him. I remember hearing one of his kids went to a Dr in Seattle

He was done. He probably saw the writing on the wall with Inslee, Constantine, Murray, Durkan, and the Seattle Shitty Council and wanted nothing to do with them going forward.

Think about it. The COVID vaccine might put his son at risk, but he'd be fired today if he was still the head coach of Washington with the retarded dipshit occupying the Governor's Mansion and the spineless legislature who refuses to remove his emergency powers.

You think the bullshite started here in 2020?! It's been festering since 2014. Look at the video "Seattle is Dying" for reference.

It isn’t a secret. The new AD and Chris didn’t get a long, so he didn’t think the headaches were worth the trouble.
