This. I'm worried LSU will go cheap and we'll end up with some assclown who's worse than Miles and lose this year's amazing class

Yeah. Who thinks LSU is going to go out and get an Awesome coach (translation: a lot of money). They are starting to charge for parking, for Goodness sake, Budget cuts, poormouth this and that. They'll go cheap. Then let's see people bitch about TAF donations and ticket prices.

Be careful what you ask for . . . you just might get it.

I have confidence they hire someone worthwhile. It will really take an idiot to mess up what LSU has now.

If Miles, with all his mistakes couldnt mess it up........

I think Les Miles is a very good coach and is a good fit for LSU. I will surely miss him if he leaves.

Why do you think this? We've only had 3 decent coaches in my lifetime not counting the mercenary Arnsbarger.

and 2 of them have came in the last 10 years, while LSU has been a top national program.

they cant afford to hire some scrub, and they know that.

Not EVERYONE is sweating it.I am not a big miles fan!i am impressed that he won 11 games with absolutley NO qb.Not sure if anyone else on earth would have pulled the shite he did last year w/ole miss or this yr w/tenn!!kinda mixed emotions about him leaving, afraid alleva would take the cheap route and hire another hallman or archer, and what about crowton ? is miles gonna keep him if he stays? our offense is frickin awful considering the talent we have everywhere except qb!!!
I think i'll have another drink now!!

All I have to say is do you really want Les Miles if he does not wanna be a Tiger.

This.

Also, anyone with half a brain had to know if the Michigan job opened up again and Miles was offered, he'd likely take it.

I'm hoping for the best but prepared for the worst.

Auburn did ok for themselves with the Chizik and Malzahn hires. Who's to say the same can't happen for LSU.

Alright, riddle me this:

How many wins does Auburn have if Cam Newton doesn't play this season? Hmmmmmmm?

6 11 win season in all of LSU's great history. Miles has 4 of them.

You may want to "re-math" this one.

I don't think I do. Please correct me where I am wrong.

Miles had 11 wins in 2005, 2006, 2007, ans 2010. The others were 2003 and 1958.

a year ago, i probably would not have minded tuberville, but the game is changing fast.

and tuberville is defense minded, so bye bye to most/some of our awesome D assistants.

Oh, he sucks at recruiting, which is numeral uno in my book

For Tiger in NY, we didn't start playing 13-14 games a season until the mid 90's, so don't get to fired up about 11 wins. Ohh its good and even ranks right up there with the best but still 2 losses. In fact Less has had 2 losses or more every year. Hasn't he? That's like going 9-2 at best, prior to 92.

his winning % also has gone from 85% the first 3 years to 70% the last 3 years.

Sure he's erratic at press conferences and at late game play calling, but at the end of the day what he brings to LSU is not something you can find over night, or better yet something I think LSU will be able to replace. Miles runs a clean program and brings in top notch talent. His players love playing for him and oh yeah he wins.

He may be crazy, but he's our crazy coach. Watch the postgame interview with Miles after the Alabama win. Not many coaches out there, if any, show that type of raw emotion. I, for sure, have been mad as hell at Miles this year and in the past, but in the end he makes it worthwhile.

He is worth the investment. I mean he is 62-17. He is undefeated in bowl games, unless he has to play in a swamp.

I'll be really bummed if he does depart. Over the years his personality and his coaching tendencies (as crazy as they may be) have caught on to a lot of fans. It's ridiculous to think "most fans want him gone." The LSU faithful want Miles back. Hope he hears them.

If Les Miles was say Urban Meyer he never would of kicked Perrilloux off the team and in turn the winning % never would of suffered. The point is Miles knew kicking Perrilloux off the team would impact his team, but he was adament about not running an out of control program which I give him a lot of credit for.

With Mettenberger coming in LSU will be fine at QB. That 70% the past 3 years is due to too young, too inexperienced QB play.

Then why give RP soo many chances and at the same time NOT sign a replacement for the inevitable?

Not that I'm at all disappointed with the prospect of a new QB, but sort of ironic to praise both the dismissal of RP and bringing in of ZM in the same post.
