Who would OKlahoma get if Riley left?

Would they reach for Campbell or Aranda?
If so, just asking which coach would you rather have LSU play every year at OU…..
Riley
Campbell
Aranda
And which coach would you rather have at LSU?

Would not want to play aranda every year. Campbell is a damn good coach too. It’s a coin flip.

So optimal situation would be for you that:
Aranda at LSU
Riley Stays at Ou
Aranda at LSU
Riley Stays at Ou

No I’m banking Riley to LSU. Lol. And that is my preferred way that this plays out. Then have OU hire like Napier. Ideally. Napier could be great. But he’s the biggest unknown.

Lincoln isn't leaving but hypothetically:
Luke Fickell
Matt Campbell
Dave Aranda
Brent Venables
Bob Stoops
Mark Stoops
would be the start of the list.
A couple of names OU wouldn't look at:
Josh Heupel
Lane Kiffin and his despised former Sooner player and now Ole Miss OC Jeff Lebby
Billy Napier
Luke Fickell
Matt Campbell
Dave Aranda
Brent Venables
Bob Stoops
Mark Stoops
would be the start of the list.

No idea but I have to think they would at least consult with Stoops to get his opinion.

I think bob stoops comes out of retirement!

Ed O will be available.
Oklahoma should definitely give O a look

Fickell is the name I was told last week but I don't know the confidence level in it. I am going to ask about it this weekend.
Aranda would probably be the best hire though.
OU is pretty damn good at coaching hires unfortunately.

Campbell would fit them like a glove, he's already in the Midwest.

Perplexes me how fickell is not an LSU candidate, but Riley is.
Yet fivkel would be an ou candidate if Riley left.

They may hire from within and attempt to maintain the integrity of their staff. That's what I would do. It's not like they have a horrible program in need of an overhaul. The big question is how many decide to leave with Riley?

This seems sorta feasible to me. Brings OK into the SEC...gets a coach-in-waiting and re-retires after loosing to Riley and the Tigers 52-7 in their first/only head-to-head meeting.
Arch Manning throws a late Pick-6 in relief of Walker Howard for Okie's only score
Joking aside...that really is an intriguing concept

Why is Lebby despised?

I heard they are going after Heupel.
I read somewhere that said when LSU and USC make their Head Coach selections it will turn the college football world on its head. I can see that now, there will be so many moving parts all starting with those 2 teams.

He was an assistant at Baylor under Briles. He got caught on the sidelines during an OU game against Tulsa. It may not seem like a big deal, but it was deeper than it looks (in the below article). He won't be welcomed back.

It's just the name I was told and I heard he was interested, didn't really get into it more than that...but I plan on trying to get some more info on it. Norman and OU have a lot of similarities to the top Big 10 jobs he covets and I think Bob Stoops also being an Ohio guy would help alleviate some of his concerns. I think he would try to turn it into the destination for Rust Belt players interested in playing in the SEC, while also recruiting Texas & out west like usual.
I am still slightly skeptical due to his lack of Texas recruiting connections and OU joining the SEC though.
I don't think his lack of interest in LSU was a slight to the LSU program, Baton Rouge is just a completely different lifestyle for his family. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
