Bryan Harsin would make sense.

Jeff Tedford could probably fix their offense and get them back to bowls right away, but I don't know if they want to go the retread route.

I think Matt Wells at Utah State will likely get a call.

The last time they tried a Boise coach it didn't turn out very well.

Agreed. Rick George will kick tires on Dana Holgorsen, too.

I think that's a conversation worth having.

Tedford would be a boring but possibly very solid hire

Does Colorado still have the self imposed recruiting restrictions from that scandal a while back?

Are you talking about the stuff under Gary Barnett? I think those ended 7 or 8 years ago.

It's not a good job. Since the rape scandal there is a culture on campus and in the administration that is actively against having big time football

Eh, I don't know. Some of that is still there, but they've actually invested in their facilities lately, and this job likely isn't available right now if they didn't care about being competitive again.

They obviously don't want the program to become like it was under McCartney or Barnett for the sake of winning, but they aren't going to be cheap and apathetic like under Hawkins or Embree either.

This is a good time for CU to be searching for a coach.

1) Facilities are top notch
2) Talent is young and fairly deep
3) Returning 3 year starter at QB
4) 2 four star QBs behind him who can play

Chuck Pagano is a long shot.

He hasn’t coached in college in over 15 years, but does have plenty of experience.

He’s also a Boulder native and still has strong ties to the area.

I doubt he gets the job, but he’s a name that is being mentioned as a candidate.
