FootballScoop.com: "Tulane had their man; but, it fell apart over timing issues related to the coach's current season."

No offense man but your accuracy hasn't exactly been spot on throughout this search. Care to elaborate?

Nope .. I told you that I have been burned too much in this deal ...

But in all honestly the only thing I have been inncorrect about was making an early call on RR after he told zona he was taking the tulane job.

As a Tulane fan, I'd be upset about anyone other than Mike Leach since he is there for the taking. However, since it doesn't look like Leach then Hudspeth would be a nice consolation.

Wow - its a shame that the TU program has fallen this far. I recall the days under Larry Smith when they would avg over 40,000 in the Dome. Not sure if they will ever be able to resuscitate that program. Hell, I live in the FQ and will pass by the Dome on game days and can't even tell there's anything going on at that time.

This is a result of Tulane wanting to have a coach in place by next Monday. Monken would not be able to discuss the vacancy until Sunday at the earliest.

3putt

I heard Rod was all but locked in according to a family friend but when Zona came in with the late goods and better situation he took it. He gets the bcs conference and outside of Oregon and USC - nobody else in that conference is worth a piss. Stanford is good but it has been a couple year hit wonder with Luck and they will drop back down to earth. Rod was 24-48 hours away from being at Tulane. Guess what goes around comes around for the Green Wave

What's are the odds we could get Johnson to come down for an OC position so he can recruit Nola?

From one of the top NFL staffs to OC at Tulane. Yeah right.
