lol at Taggert

What a horrible hire. They can do much better if they have an open check book.

We reached out to Taggart. It's Oregon law that we have to interview a minority candidate. Right now, he may be the best minority candidate for a HC. Charlie Strong, Derek Mason are probably equals at this point.

Don’t know if Oregon plans to speak w Willie (do have state mandated “Rooney” type rule) but these folks did not believe he has chance @ job

Been a long time since I’ve heard folks laugh that loud. Wasn’t even polite.

Was bringing kids to practice & was alerted to Bruce Feldman’s report Willie T as strong candidate at Oregon. Called some Oregon folks…...

Is anyone else getting confused at first glance by how close the name Oregon is to Orgeron?

Chris Petersen from Washington. That would be a home run hire and the ultimate capstone on the decades of hatred between Oregon and UW. When Kelly left there were a lot of people who wanted Oregon to take a hard look at Peterson then given his background as a position coach at Oregon in the 90s. But the decision had already been made for Helfrich.

Peterson makes 3.6m/yr at UW, this is the make or break hire for Oregon's program, I could see them doubling that.
