Not even O stating he made lots of mistakes while there?

His admission to this means nothing to you?

What does that admission do? He certainly doesn't deserve the LSU job based on the admission that he did a horrible job in his only other chance. Like I said, he needs to go prove himself somewhere else. Regardless I think he will regress to the mean. He is what he is. If he does change then he is that rare coach where his past doesn't indicate his future.

That admission means he knows what to fix.

I agree with you for the most part as I did in the other thread but to say people can't change is dumb.

I've never said that. That coaches usually don't is indicative of the nature of the profession. It takes special individuals to change, especially the 180 it would require for O to go from a terrible coach to a title winning coach. The historical examples are very rare in football.

O is a good interim coach because he's a motivator and gets guys in a bad situation to play inspired football. That's good for a short period of time but not the long haul.

Also an admission to fix something does not indicate the ability to fix that thing. Please read Meat Market by Bruce Feldman. It gives a better indication of what O was like there and you will see why I don't think he will be a long term answer here.

Well the book follows O around while he was at Ole Miss. The biggest mistake that O seemed to make was just being out of his element. He didn't have vision, belief, or conviction. He was a poor leader, and I straight up don't think him telling us that he made mistakes by tinkering too much in his coordinators job is accurate. It is much more complicated than that.

what Pro O means

Not saying you but some want O over everybody, some want O if we can't get Fisher or Herman. O should only be considered if we get past people like Gundy, Fuente, Fleck, etc. Even then O should be like option number 10.

I want Herman and Herman only. But I will settle for O

I don't want those other clowns. They haven't proved me anything.

This is all the pro O people are basing their stance on. It's shortsighted and irrational. I hope those in charge have tuned these tards out.

Apparently there's a small group working on the hire. As far as I can tell the only emotion is on those on the outside looking in. The decisions being made by those in control are measured and informed right down to understanding when enough is enough that's why O hasn't been hired already and they are apparently still negotiating with Herman and Fisher and have gone beyond their own 48-hour ultimatium.

O is the floor of this process which is strong recruiting and salesmanship. This of course is vital to all of this and the foundation to maintaining most major college level programs.
