The Giants won the Super Bowl during the 2007 season and in football that is a lifetime ago. He is the most hated coach to play for and he was on the hot seat with many talks of being fired before they won the Super Bowl.

When do they replace him?

If they swoon again late this year, I'd look for Jeff Fischer or Cowher to be #1 on their list.

I'm not a Giants fan, but I can't STAND Coughlin. We he jumped on that punter last year after kicking to D. Jackson of the Eagles I lost a lot of respect for him. Jumped his case right there on the field after the game was over. All for show. He could have handled that shite in the locker room. also, there were 10 other guys on that play that didn't do their job either.

As big of an A-hole as Coughlin is, I've heard there isn't a bigger a-hole on the planet than Fassel was.

It'd be really hard to beat Coughlin, man. I knew someone who played for the Titans when Coughlin coached the Jaguars-the players HATED Coughlin.

In 2007 they only gave him a 1 yr contract extension, but they won the Super Bowl. This past year they only gave him a 1 yr contract extension through 2012...but they're not even playoff bound this time.

Coughlin is up there. Of course, part of the reason my buddy hates Fassel is bc he cut him.

People in New York are fed up with the end of the season fade each year. Sports talk radio always says he's a great guy but it may be time. They say he's the oldest coach and Giants need to look to the future. Lose this week to the JETS and no playoffs, and bye bye

Why would the Giants hire another veteran coach in their 50s after Tom Coughlin? They need to hire a young coach with hunger and passion, not another coach who's been around the block for a long time.

I agree that they will look for new blood. Nobody up here is yelling for Cowher or Fisher.

I would hope they're not yelling for Fisher. Titans fans had enough of Field Goal Fisher.

Depends on how they do the last few games. If it ends like it did in 09 (where they got shite on by Minnesota and Carolina that last few games, and it cost DC Bill Sheridan his job), I could see a change.

We'll see how they do against NYJ and DAL, if they lose both to finish 7-9, buh bye

I have always heard Coughlin is the most hated coach in the NFL by the players. His players absolutely LOATHE that guy. You can also tell Strahan and Tiki hate the dude when they talked about him on air.

I heard Woodson on ESPN the other day saying they should keep him even if they don't make the playoffs. Argued 'who else is really out there?'

Well- gruden, cowher, and jeff fisher are out there.

I think coughlin needs to win a playoff game to keep his job

I'm going to catch hell for this, but I believe Jeff Fisher is severely overrated. I've been a Titans fan from day 1 and his nickname is Fieldgoal Fisher. The playcalls in crunch time are beyond bizarre. I wouldn't want Jeff Fisher coaching my favorite team.
