What I’ve heard as of 11-22 from my wife who was reading storytime at the daycare when a random 3 yr old said this
I’ve heard that the LSU program expects to have lane kiffin on campus next Saturday to be their head coach. I’ve also heard that Florida has to have a massive comeback to even be in the running for kiffin again, but anything is possible because it’s kiffin. Some Ole Miss players, boosters and staff don’t even want him coaching the egg bowl but Keith Carter wants to try to guarantee a playoff spot. Some are saying that he won’t even make it to the egg bowl because things are going to blow up within. But as right now (11-22-25, 7:50Am) Lane expects to be LSUs next head coach and LSU expects that as well. But a lot can change in a week, but I think the verbal agreement has already been made

This is my suspicion as well. No way the CFP deals with the same blow back of leaving FSU out.
However, that waiting leaves me with the fear that lane changes his mind.

Man I hope the ole miss boosters over throw their AD causing a fire in the groove and Lane to not coach the state game so we can lock him down earlier

Disagree. When your coach leaves you hanging, it would be easy to not be engaged.
