If it was really his dream job, he wouldn't let a forgivable mistake like an early leak keep him away. What really happened?

The admins on UM's rivals site are indicating that Martin and UM aren't making much of a move....gonna wait until after the game to talk

I would believe that Les is not going anywhere but this was a very bumpy ride. I wish I knew what happened. Les could have ended this long ago if he weren't interested in going home.

Everything said *officially* makes me think the real negotiations won't start until later tonight. The PC today was meant to calm the media down. I personally don't think it's over (and I don't have a source).

It seems that nobody had a source on this.

There seems to be a window open there for him to be hired.....

They appear to be determined to do it by the book, as they say.

I don't think it's over, but then again, you have what Jordy says and what Miles said to Wolfson

Exactly! That's why skepticism will remain until a contract is signed.

I really don't think money was an issue. Michigan would have ponied up the cash. I know Carr didn't want Miles but if this were the reason Martin would have never asked LSU permission to talk with Miles.

He negotiated a contract with LSU, got years and a number. He'll then take that to the people at Michigan and say, "heres what LSU is offering, what do you have on the table?"

Yeah I wonder whats up.

I laid down to take a nap before game...wake up to this crap.

At this point, I cannot believe money is the issue. We do have deep pockets at Michigan. Already have largest stadium, and are putting 240M into it.

Cmon....something isnt right here. Maybe it is a Carr thing. Maybe not. Maybe he still will talk to Michigan after game.

I dont know. If he does stay, I believe La fans deserve to have what ya want after what you guys went thru with Katrina.

Of course I would still like Miles. But like I said, if he stays where he is that is cool also.

Yes, but thanks to Yost. If the Kingfish had demanded additional load capacity/foundations (and I'm surprised he didn't), LSU would be battling you guys for the country's largest stadium.
