What has Larry Fedora done to even be a legit consideration for the LSU job?

What has he done to even be considered as legit option if say Herman and Jimbo turn down the job? I mean he's a just above average coach. Not horrible but nothing great.

Only thing going for him is his hot daughter and an insane six pack

He has won his division, and currently UNC has more wins than LSU right now.

I honestly have no idea how he coaches outside of his known success at his two previous stops.

Can he develop QBs? What's his offensive philosophy?

Oh and his daughter is hot af

Baloo, who is smarter than most of us on here, made a decent case a few weeks ago. I think he's a solid Plan B after Jimbo/Herman, though O v Fedora is a tough call IMO.

Have you seen the list of possibilities? It's pretty underwhelming after Herman and Fisher, unless you count the unrealistic names being thrown around.

Gundy if he would leave osu would be a solid option after jimbo and Herman imo

You guys forget that UNC was a dumpster fire at a hoops school when Fedora got there. In perspective, he has done very solid work in his time there. However, I definitely wouldn't say he is a home run. He is a solid choice down the list from Fisher and Herman.

I would still give Gundy the slight edge over him. For all his flaws, he has a longer track record at a place that historically has been even tougher to sustain success.

You mean what's he done besides beating our front runner recently with a less talented team?

Not sure how you measure him vs any of the coaches we have on our list. Every single one is supplies just as much risk.

Jimbo - looked great with Winston. What if he never gets another Winston?

Herman - looked good last year but looks like he's lost to worst teams that Coach O lost to this year in games he should have won

Fleck - did he catch lightening in a bottle? Can he sustain his success there or any other program?

Gundy - Can't close out a great season to save his life. Only plays one way and when teams figure it out mid-season he usually falls off.

Coach O - would make for a great story if he landed a top notch OC, but whose fault was it to leave Gilmore in the game and not play Devin White when UF ran down our throats? He also has flipped from his earlier comment about pro-style only offense and QB's and now says Spread/zone read is the way to go. Could work out great or be a great disaster.

Nobody knows for sure that any of these coaches are homerun hires or if sanctions will follow them to LSU. Nobody knows. Whoever it is has to be able to lock down LA recruiting, stand up guy, father figure, pushes education, and knows how to adjust to be his opponents when the game throws curves.

Yeah I don't think people really Understand just how bad it was at unc when he took over. A month ago the unc sb nation site wrote a really good article documenting all the shite he's had to overcome there. He's not my first choice but he'd at least put a real offense on the field.

You should invent that since it's fresh on your mind. I'm sure it would last for about 50 years and then sales would taper off a lot.
