I've seen numerous people say there are only 60 some odd guys on the team as of now. Can someone explain to me what happened to the other 20+? I really have no idea and don't want to piece it together if someone knows already

This hire of Urban is overrated.

With him quitting on us twice, and failing to sign full classes, we are pretty much on a self imposed probation until at least next year's signing class.

He never overloaded the roster at UF like Bama and LsU have in regards to total numbers. He was always more in the Carroll/USC model of recruiting numbers. He signed more than Carroll ever did but never consistently had a full roster. Major attrition and smaller classes the last 2 years is what has UF where they are right now. To Muschamp's credit he could have taken more kids last year but chose to save those numbers for his 1st full recruiting class. Problem is that he didn't foresee the SEC setting new rules in recruiting eliminating the chance for him to take extra kids at the mid year session this year.

Didn't he have quite a few thugs quit/get kicked out?

This is incorrect. If UF wanted to, they could sign over 30 players this year. They won't though, however.

Works out well for UF to not have too much dead weight on scholarship. I understand that Urban recruited top notch players in every class but his selection of players is the complete opposite of what Muschamp/Weis needs to run what they want to run.
