What do the 4 Final NFL Teams All have in Common?

None of them run the spread option, air raid, or other junk ball offenses like Leach. Malzhan, Mullen, and Kelly run.We need a pro -style offense with packages for balanced running and passing, play action, TE's and FB's, and for our QB's to distribute to our playmakers. From my view, Logan, Chryst,Clement, and Krags probably maps the best to this and Les's philosophy. Sure is working for the top of the NFL, Bama,Stanford, and worked for 1 Pete at USC for a decade.

I rewatched the Bama v LSU 2010 game today, we won with dominating run game and big plays set up by being able to run. And a smothering D

They are also cold weather teams that play outside and play big ten style football. So should LSU do that?

My point is if the NFL thought that the air raid and spread option would win a Super Bowl then they would all run these gimmicks. The best way to beat the fastest and strongest defenses is with balanced, mutiple set running and passing in warm weather, cold weather, indoors or outdoors. Sorry all of you SO and air raid guys.Les will not go down that hole.

quote:first off-- green bay runs the spread and throws the ball all over the yard. ya they like to run the ball some, but they pass to set up the run. so the theory of this post is shot, but i'll play along...

LSU will never have to play the steelers or jets or packers or bears. they are professional teams. its a different game they play. the spread works in college- see: the 2 teams playing the BCSCG this year. and half of the 09 BCSCG participants. and both from 08. your argument doesnt hold water, bruh.
you can prefer and like pro-style all you want. just try to bring in some better evidence next time.

quote:why cant the spread do this? its just doing it outta a 4-wide look instead of TE/FB. the spread is a very loose, general term.

5 out of the last 6 NCAA champs ran a version of the spread.
3 of the last 6 runners up as well
the only winner not being Bama, and even they ran it at times, including the wildcat.

They are all in the NFL not the NCAA?

The best way to build a sustainable, balanced offense with variable formation packages such as the 4 final NFL teams this year is to have a pro philosophy instead of air raid and spread option formula. Les will go in this direction in my opinion so some of you will continue to gripe like sad children.

Do you consider what the Saints do "pro-style" football. It's not too dissimilar to the Air Raid type of O. ...
