I said at the time Toledo was hired that it was a god awful hire for Tulane.
They need a young coach with a great philosophy that can help recruit and build a program. They picked Bobby because he was safe and noone would steal him away in 3 years, but frick, I would rather someone want to take my coach then have a coach no one wants.

I think Mark Richt will be the biggest name coach to be fired in 2011.
Unless you count Joe Pa being forced to retire at Penn State, which i believe will happen if he doesn't retire voluntarily.

UGA will definitely be the biggest opening...I wonder who will be in play for that job is Richt gets the boot...

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Skip Holtz hired at UGA, if South Florida has a good season.
Which I expect.

I don't think Patterson will ever leave TCU, and I believe most big schools have already come to that conclusion as well.

Tubberville to Uga
Schiano has bought himself time with a good recruiting class.

Kirby Smart will probably get the first call...

Mark Richt, Joker Phillips and Houston Nutt have seats so hot they will have to stand all next season.

OK, I apologize for being a smartass. On first hearing the question I thought it was senseless because clearly Penn State is the more PRESTIGIOUS job.
Upon further review, UGA may be the BETTER job, due to there being much less pressure folowing Richt than there would be in following Paterno.
Also, I apologize for the caps in this post. I would have preferred to italicize but I do not know how.

was kind of surprised they let him stay this year. His record and recruiting have steadily declined each year.
I don't get this comment. UGA is currently 15th on the rivals list. They have 18 commitments, so if they go up to 25 and those are decent, they will wind up in the top 10.
With that said, I like Mark but believe he needs a good season to calm UGA fans!

ATLtiger,Locksley will get fired eventually and the bidding war for his services as an assistant will be epic. The guy is an elite recruiter.I imiagine that every major SEC school will be chasing him. He's been able to get 3 or 4 top 250 kids the last 2 years to visit New Mexico.Cyrus kouandjio has them in his top 5 and raves about the guy.We should definitely give him a look when he gets axed.
