What coach would be an upgrade from Les?

We need to upgrade from our previous coach...
Tuberville: Downgrade
Bobby Petrino: Even
Rich Rodriguez: Even
Alot of you will disagree, but he has had the most talent in conf. USA, a weak conference, for the past 3 years, and hasn't won anything.
Steve Spurrier: I think this is our next coach, and the only coach I can think of that would definitely be an upgrade from the Hat.
Tuberville: Downgrade

Spurrier is too old, plus didn't he say he likes South Carolina because they aren't concerned about winning a national championship? I could be wrong about that though.
No way we get Petrino, I wouldn't want him anyway. Good coach? yes. But I just don't think he fits with LSU.
I wouldn't mind RR, but it would take a lot to get him away from West Virginia.
I like the obvious choice, Jack Del Rio. But are we going to use the Saban/Miles method? A coach at a second tier school having good success? Who would that be?

He's not an up and coming coach, he's been to the NFL, didn't like it. He's been around the block, and I think if he goes to a school that can have talent, he'll stay for a long time. He can't win at SC.

Spurrier too old? Come on. The SEC would be in FEAR if we had the Visor and the talent LSU brings in. The problem would be in Crowton as OC, Spurrier likes to run the O as well.

West Virginia plays in the Big East, if that is who you are referring to.

Spurrier is not too old, and would put fear into the rest of the SEC if at LSU. Tuberville is a great coach and a major upgrade.

Spurrier is not too old.....Jo Pa is too old! Big difference in ages....
Spurrier could probably bring a good set of younger coaches and groom one of them to be a future head coach at LSU....
alternatively, timing might be better for some existing top coaches who aren't ready to move.

that's why Michigan went after him. LSU needs to get away form the Sexton retreaded coaches IMO.
