What?
If you quit and put in your two-week notice at your job, and your boss tells you to just go ahead and leave now, do you consider yourself fired? Or did you quit?
Because that's essentially what happened. A lot of companies don't accept notice and tell employees to leave. They don't consider those employees to have been fired.

How is that Kiffin's fault?
What I will say is that he threw his visor back at the crowd and led his team to a “ frick Tennessee” chant in the locker room. Sound familiar?
Do I really care about what he did? Not really. But it’s more antics. I think he’s a great coach, but the administration hiring a guy with more of these antics is not going to sit well. Not even mentioning his history of other things. He’s a lot like his buddy we just fired personality wise.

A whole fan base hates their former head coach so much that they're throwing golf balls at him from the stand is a lot of baggage on it's own.
