What about Pete Golding from Bama?

Currently Co-DC and ILBs coach at Alabama. Young guy that can related to college players, good recruiter, been learning from Nicky the last two years. He’s from Hammond and played ball at Delta college. Knows a very important area of the region for recruiting. Thoughts?

So I noticed a lot of Bama fans commenting on this post. Are y’all taking into account the key injuries (Moses, etc.) and overall down year for talent on your defensive line when considering the defense’s performance this year? Or you just putting it all on the new DC? To the LSU fans, Bama was 3rd in the SEC in scoring D (13th in the nation) to our 8th in the SEC (33rd nationally, behind even Kentucky and Tennessee) and that’s with the Top paid defensive coordinator in the nation. So what’s our standard? Is it just a big name that will be adequate?

Golding would actually be a very good fit at LSU. LA guy (Hammond) very good Xs & Os acumen and recruiter with Ties in LA, MS, TX. LSU is probably his dream DC job too. Pete was DC at UTSA working with Frank Wilson before he came to Bama. It wouldnt surprise me if Coach O hires him.
