Crystobaw has been mentioned a little but not much. I think most people are convinced he's a CEO type coach and that's the last thing LSU needs right now.
I dunno, I always pictured Cristobal as headed for an OC job in the Grimes mold but then Oregon saw enough in him to jump up anyway.

And I hate to break it to you all: A HC NEEDS to be a CEO type. Now a CEO type plus more is best, but the base of the job at this level is to be a CEO.

The most important thing a HC at this level does is hire assistants. That makes or breaks a program. That's your recruiting. That's your player development on an individual level. And those equal results.

Now, the biggest issue for HC's that never coordinated have is hiring coordinators. It's not that they can't do the job for them. The problem lies in being able to recognize the right coordinator for the job having never done it.

LSU doesn't need Crystobal when Lane Kiffin is a far better coach than Crystobal or anyone else under consideration. Plus, Lane Kiffin would cost LSU far less money to hire.

Again with Lane Kiffin. Although, you can at least spell Kiffin.

To be fair, one can be a lot smarter than O and still be a moron.

Cristobal is a legit candidate but Woodward probably has him down the list a bit.

If he makes the playoff, he stays in Eugene. LSU will not have anywhere near the amount of money to reel him in. Phil Knight will pony up serious dollars. They really like him there.
