Former player and GA
3x National Champion as a coach
Id take him over Scott Frost right now

They may have to settle for him if Frost goes to Florida
Bohl wouldn't be a bad hire though

They need a young recruiter

Nebraska will never win another title. The only reason they were good in the mid 90s is because Osborne was exploiting a major loophole in recruiting.

He's an alum but his best team at Wyoming was dragged all over the field by Nebraska last year. He wouldn't instill much confidence in the fanbase that they'd be returning to the bigtime.

You either need a coach to build a program or a lifer

Bill Callahan ain't walkin thru that door

They'll land Frost; I have no doubt. They already ran Bohl off once and I doubt they want him back. They need a splash hire.

If you're Nebraska you need a spark and that ain't Bohl. Even if they strike out on Frost they're going for a name IMO, which might not necessarily work out but it'll breathe some life.

No water near Nebraska :)
Word is Frost turned down Oregon to go coach at UCF. Let that sink in for a min. You think he’s gonna turn down UF for Neb with a family starting and he can go get a 5 star recruit and be home by lunch?

Yes, I do. Buddy of mine went to school with Frost and his brother and says if they offer him, it’s a lock. Sorry.

I do too.
If you went to a school then you understand the draw and loyalty. I can only imagine that pull is even stronger when you were a star QB.

and what about the 8 decades before that were they exploiting loopholes back then too? Stop pretending like you didn't start watching college football 3 years ago
Now they're an afterthought in a sport dominated by speed and agility, still drawing most of their players from a dwindling in state population, struggling in a conference they joined in its 95th year.
Nebraska is done as an elite football program. The sport has passed them by, just as it did Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Pitt, and numerous other former gridiron giants.

Nebraska should have gone after Fleck last year. They need someone that can pump alot of energy into that program. They feel dead right now.

Perhaps, but there’s no reason why they can’t be on par with Wisconsin, competing for a conference championship on a regular basis.

Insert Bama for NU and post this in 2007.

Texas killed Nebraska. The big12 completely screwed them with a division of the 2 kansas schools, mizzou, iowa state and colorado. They needed at least a texas and oklahoma school to help with recruiting.
