And everyone is playing his game, and whoever "wins" is going to over pay for the big name instead of doing their due diligence to see who is really the right guy for their program. Elko at A&M is a prime example. No one was desperate to hire him. He wasn't the flashy hire, but he's a damn good coach.

You realize that lane is under a huge contract and can't do whatever the frick he wants. He has obligation to OM, that will cost him 10s of millions (possibly) if they find he isn't living up to those obligations.
The irrational childish outbursts from fans like you, is of no consequence to LK and what he has to legally do while navigating this incredibly public situation.

Lane has to do it a certain way he at least owes it to his current team to not bolt before the season is over. I think 90% chance he leaves but human emotion can play a big factor in the decisions that's why when making business decisions like players do they take the emotion out. He won't get another chance to coach LSU, this is his time if he ever really wanted it.
