Well, I Guess it's time to Start Cheering for Orgeron.

I'll start this off by saying that I didn't want Orgeron to be our head coach. I didn't even want him to be considered as the coach. I think this is just another horrible decision in a string of horrible decisions by our athletic department regarding coaching decisions. I think Alleva needs to get his gutless coward arse out of Baton Rouge, because if he continues to be the head of the athletic department, ALL of our athletic programs will continue to suffer.
With all that being said, now we're married to Orgeron. Not much we can do outside of stop showing up to games and stop giving them our money. I, for one, think he really does love LSU and he's definitely excited about being the coach. I think (or really hope) that he'll bring some level of excitement to the program that hasn't been seen in a while. Not the level of excitement that hiring Herman would've brought but, again, we're married to Orgeron now. I don't think Miles loved LSU as much as he let on but we do know that Orgeron loves LSU and will do anything and everything to remain the head coach. Do I think him doing whatever he has to to keep the job for an extended period of time will be enough? No. But I pray he completely shocks me as well as the rest of the Tiger faithful and goes out and destroys the SEC.
So, let's go Orgeron. Change our mind about you, be the LSU coach you always hoped you could be.

I wish more were like you. But they'll pout and pout and pout.

There's no other option, he's the coach and if you're a LSU fan you've got to support the team.

Why is it apathy to want the guy to be successful? Even if I didn't want him as coach, I still want him to be successful. Because if he's successful then the team is successful.

No.
We're gonna laugh and laugh and laugh at the mental degenerates who thought this was a great hire when we're doing this again in 5 years.
The reason I say 5 years?
Because the moronic faithful already have a litany of excuses when he bungles future games.
"He gotta build da talent up"
"It's the offensive coordinatah's fault."
"How do you expect him to replace Aranda"
Etc.
And retards such as yourself will let him stay 2 years past his welcome.

I'm not of the mindset to let him stay if we go 7-5/8-4 year in and year out. I'm not a fan of mediocrity and won't accept it with the amount of talent this program has in it and the state talent at the high school level. So if we get more of the same then I want him gone.

I think he will fail, but I really hope he proves me wrong. Anyone should be able to say the same.

Exactly, a lot of people are putting the man before the program. That's not how it should be.

Orgeron is a wordsmith, its what makes him a great recruiter. He said he loves USC, he loves Syracuse, he was going to say he loves whoever would make him HC. You realize that, right? He actively worked against LSU in recruiting on several occasions.

So you don't think growing up a coonass made him enamored with LSU?

Many have said throughout today that there are a lot of fans that hate Orgeron. I don't think that's true. I oppose the hire because LSU could and should have hired a more proven head coach given the circumstances and time they've had to conduct a search.
People are pissed at Alleva, people are pissed that our administration allows Alleva to make mistake, after mistake, after mistake. And this is another one, no one can argue that. You fire your head coach 4 games into the season only to hire his defensive line coach at the end of the season? Who in the frick does that???
I have nothing against Coach O and I hope he becomes the most successful coach in LSU history. But Alleva and the administration totally fricked this up, that's why people are pissed. As they should be!!

Well of course it's time to cheer for him.
