Riley played us… other than recruiting we are okay. Just take a step back and go get Aranda or Campbell. Either one could win here easy. LSU recruits itself. Both are good X and O’s coaches, a nice change of pace. Riley’s teams are sexy for the moment, but are mostly soft and crumble under pressure. We will be fine.

Played us for what?? A raise, staff raises etc. No reports of any of that, the trolls played us

Doesn’t matter what it was for. Recruits and former players were told it was him. It is not. Therefore we have been played. That simple.

Woodward is a good AD, but he can still get screwed over. He’s not psychic. I’m just saying that recruits were told Lincoln was coming, as confirmed by multiple people on this board. You would not risk recruiting for the sake of a smokescreen. Woodward is a good AD and will find someone else, but I think he thought Riley was a done deal.

If he is indeed not coming, Lincoln will be regretting his decision to not move on to greener pastures soon enough. The SEC awaits. And it ain’t gonna be pretty for him in Norman.

The only people who got played were LSU fans by message board trolls who kept saying "their source", "done deal", "Riley will be the next coach at LSU". Not one credible LSU AD source confirmed ANY of the crap that was repeatedly dumped here day after day. People who spend all day on message boards are NOT within the inner circles of a major coaching hire & whatever they say is based off rumor & hope. This isn't Joe Alleva's coaching search where everything was an open door blab your mouth process. If Woody aint at a podium announcing something, then it shouldn't be taken as anything but rumor & best guesses.
