Even as an LSU fan, I know to always believe the opposite of what Chip Brown writes.

I'm not convinced by that Chip Brown article.
He covered the Baylor scandal, too, and he was throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what stuck.

There is no way they're keeping strong. Even if Herman says no, he has to go. You can't lose to kansas

He is getting a good amount of sympathy and Texas admins look about as dumb as ours. Charlie hasn't even played the black card yet.

He lost to Kansas. I like him but he's done.
Shame he had to clean Mack's mess.

We all thought les was done last year and then he beat A&M and somehow saved his job

Texas has more $ than everyone else, we're right in the middle of Houston/Dallas/San Antonio for recruiting, Austin is a great town and we're a better than average state school for academics. With all of that, we've managed to (barely) win 1 national title in football over the last 45 years.
Why?
Because our university leadership could ****-up a wet dream. Strong could lose to TCU and get an extension. Nothing would surprise me.

My Texas friends will all have heart attacks if Strong gets an extension.

Mack Brown left Charlie with a shite show over there. They should give him a few more years. He is recruiting some top players.

Les had 2 SEC Championships, a NC and the highest winning percentage in LSU history to hang his hat on and save his job. By UT standards, Charlies Strong has been nothing but an abject failure as HC.

Kirk Bohls said yesterday his sources said the chances of Strong being retained are between 0 and .01%.

He's gone after the game Friday win or lose.

So your saying there's a chance

You should never underestimate the ability of an athletic administration to screw up a big time hire.
It's amazing how egos can get in the way of an obvious decision.

They may very well screw up the hire.....but there is no way they retain Strong.
