Was he spitting mad when his defenses surrendered over 50?

Why do we want a re-tread? Let's go after someone new! The fans couldn't get rid of Jimbo fast enough in 2005. We should move on and get a new coach with a new vision. Tom Herman all the way, it's time to move away from the familiar!

Why do you think new over proven is best? Lane Kiffin and Sark and many other were new and hot. Sometimes older and reliable is preferred over newcomer. I don't want LSU to go through what nd, ten, Texas and many others went through.

Proven? He proved he could win with one great QB. Do you not remember how fast he was ran out of BR in 2005? He just got his arse kicked by Herman in a bowl game and Petrino a couple weeks ago. He's Miles 2.0. If we bring him here, we will all scream for him to be fired in a couple years when he's Saban's bitch.

So you'll take a coach that just got his arse kicked by two coaches that you do not want, Herman and Petrino? O.k.......

Jimbo was turning out 10/11 win seasons before Winston.

So our goal is 10/11 win seasons? 10 wins and we lose to Saban every year? I think we've all settled for that the last 5 years....

He has developed 4 1st round draft pick qbs. He has won 3 ACC championships with 2 qbs and a nc. Almost ever OC under miles under performed ask yourself why? Saban got mud stomped by Utah in bowl game does that make him a bad coach?

It's amazing to me that you can get locked into one coach and refuse to look at the very coaches that beat his arse, with less talented players....

Anyone asking for anything more than going 10-2/11-1 most of the time is asking something unrealistic. Les had fallen below that.

It amazing to me you can overlook a proven commodity. You don't just marry the prettiy girl because everyone else thinks she is hot right now. Could tom Herman be an amazing coach sure but based on less then two seasons I don't think I'm ready to crown him the best coach out there.

Anyone settling for that is happy with finishing 2nd, as Les would say...

We hired a little known name in 1999-2000 who has become the greatest coach in college football. It's time to take that same approach. If we don't make Tom Herman our first choice, it will be a huge mistake. He is not only a great coach but a man of integrity. We all know how Jimbo covers up issues with his players.

Michigan State....remember the coach we hired from them?

"Proven" coaches also come with an entitled mentality...

This program needs to move in a different direction and Jimbo it should not be....

Herman's media presence in Houston has been amazing. He isn't a wacky as Les, but he knows how to bring positive attention to his program.

Thank you Corporate. I live close to Houston, this guy has everyone amped. It's amazing. He's the real deal. If we lose him to another school, we will regret that decision for a long time.

Saban was a proven coach at Michigan state and what he was doing! Not great by numbers but in a big boy conference. How can we know what Herman is about when he is not playing with his own players and has not finished his second season? He hasn't run a program in more than a year. Has he done a good job so far? Yes but he is far from proven and you are taking a great risk in taking an unproven coach. We are a top 20 program I don't think we should take risks and gambles without fully knowing what you are getting. That is just my opinion.
