Would make sense. Maybe the search is close to over already....

LSU defense hasn't dropped off since Chief left. He knows how to recruit. Orgeron righted the USC Kiffin ship and they finished the season very well. Well liked by the players but he and the AD didn't see eye to eye at USC.

Orgeron wants to be a head coach and has made that clear in the past. Did he come over to LSU to give up that goal? Don't think so...

Orgeron has almost 3/4 of a season to make his case.

No. I think he is being given the opportunity to tryout for the job.

I agree with this. Actually think he is a great coach and he has desired experience with big time high pressure atmospheres such as LSU. If LSU finishes out the year strong he would have to be considered. If he doesn't get the HC job at LSU, he will get one somewhere.

So you think Miles offered Orgeron the HC job when he hired him?

No. Nobody offered Orgeron anything but what he was. This is nonsense that fans think up.

You know how bad that'll look when we fire an iconic coach like Les for a guy who went 10-21 as a coach for ole miss.

That was 10 years ago his best players was micheal oher and Patrick Willis, he has become a better coach since. With the talent we have he can easily put this team over the hump.

If he turns this season around, like he did at USC after Kiffin was let go, he deserves a chance at the helm.

How it looks should not even enter in to the equation.
