Walker has problems, Chavis has problems

No matter who the lead is for the DC job, someone comes on here saying that they are not impressed and they don't want them. Walker has been picked apart and run down as has Chavis. Is there anyone that everyone agrees would be the ideal pick, or will we just complain about whoever it is.
Some of you guys will complain about anything. Who would you not complain about?

Walker runs the kind of Defense that we have come to know and love as LSU fans for this decade. He's in your face and doesn't take any bull shite.

From the level of chicken little rantarding that has been prevalent on these boards for the last month in particular- There is no one that would be spared from whining and complaining. I see the same faults as the rantards, but I just have faith in Coach Miles to respond properly. He has shown a drive to succeed at LSU and I think he wants to win more than any of the rantards.

FWIW, this is what SEC defenses did this year in their 8 regular season conference games ( LINK):
Having only 4.15 yards per play allowed is pretty damn good. (And having 8.27 yards allowed per pass attempt is not.)

No, people will complain no matter what - its human nature, particularly when folks care so much. I'm personally in favor of Rhoades or Chavis, as both have done well in the SEC.

Irrelevant
What's not irrelevant is the job the new staff does.
All they got to do is get the most out of these players and the rest will fall into place.
It's a very important hire(s) for Miles. It's good he knows that but it must be nice to know you are guaranteed millions of dollars if your employment is terminated.

muschamp was a badass coach and a huge reason we had such a badass d. everyone gives credit to saban (and it is due) but seem to forget muschamp is a defensive mastermind in his own right. tx is lucky...
