0-8 is desperate.

If you want to win football games he's the guy. Seems simple to me but I'm also not very concerned with peoples personal lives.

No way Petrino gets an SEC job 7 months after getting canned for pulling his shite. The move would wreak of desperation.

Auburn will hire him. They're in panic mode right now and there is a 10,000 lb elephant in the room that is making them nervous enough to not care about the perception.

Him cheating on his wife was not the issue. Him opening up the university to lawsuits is what got him canned. Using the states general fund to pay for your frick piece and then lying about it to your boss? Stay classy!

As long as he can get us back to 10+ win seasons, who gives a shite.

Again you reduce it to infidelity to make yourself feel better.

I'd say ADs, College Presidents, or college boards with any type of common sense.

They stem from the same event and you're not fooling anyone by dressing it up.

I highly doubt he will open up auburn to law suits so what is my reason for concern here?

His track record is shite. If he cheated on his wife and got canned for it then I wouldn't have a problem if LSU hired him. There are still problems there but they are navigable.

His actions regarding the hiring of his side piece and then lying about it to his boss are on par with recruiting violations. He's that toxic of a hire IMO.
Easy to sell to a desperate fan base but how do you get this past the AD, college administrators, and boards?

Petrino would have beaten saban this year or at least had a good chance.. but he blew it. This defines petrino. Hes a good coach till he screw you and his staff.. literally. I wouldnt be upset if AU hired him but hes not my first choice. He is just a high risk high reward back up plan.

right...i'm not concnered with him doing it again. SO agian i ask, why is this any of my concern or auburn's?

I sell it as, hey guys we hired a football coach to win football games. here is what we expect of him, to coach football games and i trust that what you're citing doesn't happen again. Unless you're saying hes a serial offender i don't see the problem

now if it's based on morals i tell you the same thing, we have a chaplin, we have a coach. they won't be the same person.

Good luck with him. If you can reduce it to "he won't do this exact same thing again" then I guess we're all good here.

I can promise you he won't do "the exct same thing again"

to suggest otherwise is absurd.

Mainly because there isnt a chance in this world he's allowed to make adminstrative hires if he comes to auburn.

In light of Tennessee's current coaching search fail, I thought this deserved a bump
