What was the reason BV left OU for Clemson?
The OU defenses were never very good when he was there.
Then it got super bad when Bob brought his brother in as DC.

I don’t think Brent ever had an OU defense ranked outside the top 30. He wasn’t forced out at OU, they actually offered him more money to retain him, but Mike stoops had just been fired at Arizona and bob had to hire him back. Venables had one of the best defenses ever at OU in 2000 and several top 10 defenses over his career at OU.

I’m hoping if it is Venables he can get the DB’s back to what they were. His DB at OU and KState were great

I trust Castiglione to make a good football hire. He’s not good at baseball and he had a luck hire in Krueger and whiffed on Moser.

Very solid choice if true. He knows the landscape at OU very well and if he's getting Lebby, he already knows what direction he wants to go in, offensively.
Will probably end up serving OU better than Riley would have.

According to tater sites. Ou jet in Greenville SC today then flew to Anderson SC for 30 mins then back to Ou.
