According to Arizona media in the article above, he is a name being discussed for possible head coaching openings. I am not endorsing him or even suggesting that he'd be a candidate for LSU, but he's someone that has significant New Orleans ties and I wouldn't be disappointed if he were considered for DC on the new staff.

Just to play along:

Riley
Fickell
Aranda
Napier

His diversity and his backgroung would help him a lot here.
Quarterback at Colorado, defensive back in the NFL, and he had the time of his life as head coach of the Broncos.

Why not? These are successful guys who know the area better than anyone.

Knowing the area is how we got stuck with that fricking idiot O.

Why would a top 5 job hire a dude who failed miserably in his last HC role and has never been a successful college HC?

Vance Joseph is neither white, nor a whale.

Sergio Dipp Approves

I personally agree that watching him from here, watching now on my screen, the diversity in his background, quarterback at Colorado, defensive back in the NFL, here (at LSU) he would have THE TIME OF HIS LIFEEEEEEE at LSU

Lmao!! They couldn’t wait to run him out of DENVER!! Please tell me why he would be a viable candidate? I’ll hang up and listen.

If you'd read the original post, I never insinuated that he'd be a viable candidate for LSU HC. Simply a name for discussion for future staffs, as he has been a successful assistant defensive coach at more than one stop. This is the "coaches changes" board, not the "next LSU head coach" board.

It is real that he is interested in the LSU job.

I’m sure he’s interested. But he hasn’t coached in college since 2004, and has never been a college HC. He’s a guy a team like Washington State could take a look at if they wanted to go the Herm Edwards route. Not LSU.

I’m sure former NFL and current NFL DC Vance Joseph is interested in a college DC job

A guy that won less than 40% of his games as a head coach and has 2 sexual assault accusations against him? Homerun hire.
