Any thoughts on Hugh Freeze? I know he has some baggage, but dude can flat out coach college ball. Is he deserving of a second chance at a SEC school? Beat Bama twice at Ole Miss. Can you imagine the results he could have with the talent level LSU attracts?

Hell, I think Bill Belichick is the top target today. Can’t wait to see how far off we were from who Woody hires. Hopefully the end is near.

Doug Pederson should be very high on the list.
Super Bowl winning coach with La roots. Great guy and a great representative for LA. Plus he has great NFL connections that would be beneficial to LSU recruiting.

Don't you think that if Pederson was the guy he would have already been signed and announced? He's not currently coaching. Why wait????

I agree. I didn't say he was the guy, I just was indicating that he would be a great hire, on many different levels. If they are considering Bill Obrien, and not Doug Pederson, they have completely lost their minds.

Very through! A name that I heard early but only briefly but one with which I’ve become intrigued is Doug Pederson. A quarterback whisperer, great offensive mind, won a championship as a college and NFL player, won a championship as a NFL head coach (only one in Eagles history!) has extensive ties to Louisiana by way of playing at NLU (ULM) and Calvary Baptist in Shreveport. I truly believe he would win win 2-3 championships in next 5-7 years at LSU

Hate to admit this but you are right. Only negative is, how long does Urban stay before he starts doing something illegal in recruiting or turns a blind eye to his team/staff doing unethical things? I would give it three to four years before his mysterious illness pops up and then we are on a post season band.
