Why is Mark Richt never on anyone's list?
Posted on 12/17/13 at 2:54 pm to allin2010
Most likely because he won't ever leave Georgia till Jesus tells him to. He will be our Mack Brown.

My grandfather told me about wiskey that someone game him that was just right. I asked what that meant and he told me if it were any better the dude would have never given it to him, but if it were any worse he couldn't have drank it.

Dolla bills. What if Texas offers Harbaugh 7.5MM/yr? He makes around 5 now, coupled with no state income tax in Texas, it'd be really hard to not at least seriously consider a +50% (more considering taxes) pay raise. Not to mention he was a college coach before. I don't get the Tomlin suggestion. That makes zero sense to me.
tomlin's won a superbowl.
A lot of coaches don't want to deal with recruiting.

like aggie had such a staunch record of hiring brothas in major sports before sumlin
Melvin Watkins - Men's Basketball (1999-2004)
Peggy Gillom - Women's Basketball (1998-2003)
Neither were fired, both resigned after the worst seasons in program history respectively.
That's THREE major sport black coaches at A&M (if you include Sumlin) to Texas' ZERO.
The only black head coach you ever had got fired and is now suing the school because she was fired, yet WHITE coaches, administrators, and faculty got raises and slaps on the wrist for doing the same thing. The Kearney Lawsuit will air out Texas' dirty laundry for the whole world to see
Here's a question: Who had a black student body president first? Texas or A&M.
Keep in mind that Fred McClure was class of 1976 before you answer.

Powers and Dodds were furious that Hall/Hicks would undermine Brown. And it severely ruffled the feathers of their single largest donor, Joe Jamail, who also happens to be Mack Brown's personal attorney and agent. Last week, there was 6-3 vote by regents reaffirming Powers. That attempt to oust Powers was fueled by Hall.
Got ya. It seemed like most news I saw were predicting Powers' ouster. Then the meeting happened, Powers stayed, Mack made a statement, and almost immediately you saw Saban sign his contract with Bama.
Now I suppose he could just as easily sign one with UT next week, but the fact that you heard nothing out of Saban's camp despite every major media outlet reporting it lends some credibility to the report.

Dantonio should be tier 1. Defense and power run attack is always a good formula for championships, especially if you have the athletes. Looking at shaggybevo, it seems those guy have no faith in that model.
Oh well they can have Briles and run into the same problems OU has had on the big stage against big boy defenses.

Jeez that will be glorious, especially if their baseball and basketball teams doesn't suck this year as from what I understand both of those coaches are implicated.

Sadly I think Bev is probably in it for the money (we haven't seen the world knocking her door down after the various improper athlete benefits and screwing various players).
I would love, LoVe, LOVE for it to go to trial but I bet its settled before it gets to the fun parts, just like Freak Nasty.

Bryant settled for about $400,000.
Kearney rejected a settlement offer for over $1 Million. Board of Regents have to approve a bigger settlement.

Supa, you forgot Malzahn/Fisher...and Jim Harbaugh, even without a title, would be on any short list.
