King Alexander and Tillman Fertitta will determine who the next Head Football Coach will be a LSU. King will not allow Joe Alleva to commit to paying another Football coach the $4 million or more for this job and Tillman Fertitta, owner of the Golden Nugget and Landry Seafood empire, will open up his pocket book to keep Tom Herman at Houston. Google Tillman Fertitta and you will agree.

The Houston Chronicle has already reported that Herman was offered a big raise to stay.

This board and shaggybevo will both melt the frick down if Herman stays in Houston.

Money is not the deal breaker at Houston. They are in a shite conference, have shite facilities, have a tiny not overly enthusiastic fan base and have little history to draw from. He should have been pumping money in the last 15 years if he truly wanted to keep name coaches.

I would add a 3rd guy. A fellow by the name of Tom Herman.

Do you have any idea what the going market rate for a coach in any top level school is?

Takes more than just a raise. Houston just isn't in the same galaxy of prominence and attention that Power conference teams are.

He's not passing up both Texas and LSU to stay at a commuter school in a middling conference that is about 6th on the sports pecking order in that town. Money alone couldn't buy the Big 12. It can't fix this, either. Come on man.

I agree. I don't think that he should stay. I was just pointing out what was reported.

There are bigger HS stadiums in TX than UH. If Herman stays at a boutique university, he was never the answer.
